Looking through local Ford Dealer's inventories to try and find a Fusion with the options and in the color my mom wants and I found one exactly how she wants it! Tuxedo black over black cloth with Navgation, 2.0T EcoBoost, and a Sunroof.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

And this dealer is offering $6,200 off since it's a 2014. And they give $500 over value for trade ins. Not to mention my mom gets a discount on Fords through her work.

I hate to see the Vue go, but I'm so excited for this! I've read a ton of reviews for the Fusion, both through auto rags on actual people on Edmunds and it sounds like a great car.

Now I just have to hope this doesn't sell before Saturday...

You can't go wrong with a Fusion. $6200 off is one a hell of a deal. This is the first car I've had where I wasn't looking to replace it after a year and a half. Normally I get bored with cars within 6 months and I still love this car dearly. It's the only car I've had that if something happened to it I'd replace it with another one.

Mine is just the 1.6L but it's still awesome. I'm sure the 2.0L would make even better.

I'm not just bragging the car because it's what I have. This car replaced a Challenger SRT8 and I like this more than I did the Challenger.

Oh wow, that looks really nice with the tail lights blackened a little bit.

My dad wanted a V6, so the 2.0T is the next best thing since Ford doesn't offer one. I'm excited for paddle shifters and turbo woosh.

The Fusion is nearly invisible, yet it's a good-looking car. Ford is near off-the-charts in initial quality. I'm not a nationalist - I'll buy whatever is best, but this thing knocks the Accord and Camry back into last week. Like the Volt, I am pleased that we built it.

I really love how it looks in black. My mom initially wanted blue but it just didn't suit the car IMO. Glad to hear that, the Vue was, and is, really nice for a pre-bankruptcy GM car, but you could always tell there corners cut in a couple places.

no paddle shifters on the 1.6 :-(. But Ford really knocked this one out of the park. on mine the best sound is in third gear from 40mph-60mph @ 3/4 ish throttle that's where you feel the torque the most and it whistles the best.

Actually now that I think of if the car is more fun to drive at 3/4 throttle than at WOT. At the top end at high rpms the torque fall flat on its face. If I'm just driving spiritedly the torque curve and sound is more enjoyable if you dial it back to 8 rather than trying to crank it up to 11.

There have been a couple rental Fords in my past, including this car. They're not going to knock you on your ass with their performance, but for everyday, they're very pleasing. That said - I'd get white, because a black/dark blue (my '87 300D) car is difficult to keep clean.

That's exactly what my mom needs, something nice to live with day to day for her 40 mile commute. The 2.0T seems to add some performance to it though. We're used to keeping a black car clean, since the Vue is black. A bitch to clean, but looks so good when it is.

so right in many ways. I test drove all the mainstream midsize sedans and the Fusion was WORLDS BETTER than the others. I bought it on the spot without needing to drive anything else. Best automotive purchase I've made and this is my 5th brand new car.

I have a feeling I'm gonna have to learn how the power band on a turbo motor works. I'm so used to the linear power band the 3.6 in the Vue has. Turbos are more of a big punch until a certain RPM.

This is my 3rd turbo car(TT 1JZ Toyota Soarer,TT Nissan 300ZX,1.6L Fusion) but my first fuel economy oriented turbo car and it's quite different than the other turbo cars I had. The others you just mash the go pedal and enjoy. but this one the powerband definitely is different. I've never driven the 2.0L so it could be a totally different animal all together.

If I had to buy a car (and I don't) I am not sure what I'd do in that 25-35K loaded 4-door price point, but I'm guessing a Subaru or that Ford. On the other hand, the rental Altima I had was pretty nice, and that Civic wasn't too bad, except for the CVT, and I could probably get a C300 4Matic a couple years old for change, and then there's the 3 series, and Lexus makes cars this size, right? (and I could go on all night, but enough already).

If I had to do it again the only thing I'd do different is splurge a bit and get the 2.0L AWD Titanium model. Mine is the 1.6L FWD SE model. but 10/10 would buy again and I never buy the same car twice(it's that good!).

Depending on where you live, AWD is largely unnecessary and adds complication and repair costs. FWD is good for snowy climes - I put semi-winter tires on the '97 SHO and got through just fine. But who knows - if I end up moving upstate, it'll be an AWD Subaru or Volvo, if I know myself.

I'm in Northern Alberta. I manage just fine with FWD but I can't do any sweet sweet four wheeled drifts. I would get AWD for the performance aspect of it and not necessarily for the snow traction although it would be nice at times.

Northern Alberta? You can have anything you want, because you live in a frozen wasteland. Mazel Tov my friend, get a Suburban if you want it.

Depending on the car it can be floor it and the revs jump quickly, or there can be tons of lag and then the car just goes. Bigger turbo + small engine = lag. My V70R makes max torque from 1900 RPM but makes max HP at 5500.

It's the non linearity of the power band that makes the car fun. Gotta know just when to let off the gas to get the final RPM you want.

Wait for it...

Yes, I've driven a Ford Fusion 2.0T Ecoboost. Really fun cars, and a heck of a lot quicker than you'd think. Also a substantial amount of fun to toss though the corners. Not quite a Fusion ST, but certainly closer than any normal model should be.

Just going by design/equipment/quality/pricing, you could say that the Fusion probably really does deserve to be the best-selling car in its class. Its only the long established reputation of the Accord and Camry and lingering anti-domestic bias that keep it from reaching the top.

And of the 3, it's the best looking, full stop. I have yet to drive any of the current generation of these cars (unless I rented one and didn't notice) but I'm guessing the Ford has the best driving dynamics.
